Job summary

Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction (MAIC) seeks a Lead High-Impact Piping and Equipment Installations leader for the Mid-Atlantic region. You will guide crews through complex industrial piping and equipment installs on challenging facilities, from food-grade plants to heavy recycling sites, while mentoring craftspeople and owning project outcomes.

You will coordinate with engineers and superintendents, read isometrics and P&IDs, and ensure work aligns with plans, schedules, and safety

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory leadership in industrial construction trades.
• Strong experience routing and installing process piping in active production environments.
• Hands-on proficiency with butt weld and socket weld systems up to 8 inches in diameter.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from P&IDs, plan views, and isometric drawings.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• U.S. citizenship or green card verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a field crew of 3–10 craft workers to execute high-quality process industrial work.
• Coordinate daily with project engineers and superintendents to map out precise weekly project tasks.
• Direct the installation of process equipment, structural steel platforms, and utility piping systems.

• Verify field fabrications and installations align with engineered plans and specifications.

Job Overview

• Company: Mid-Atlantic Industrial Construction (MAIC)
• Salary/Pay Rate: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour plus Performance-Based Bonus
• Location: Glen Burnie, MD (Onsite with 40% travel required)
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday (4-10s) or Monday - Friday (5-8s) with overtime and night shifts as needed
• Project Scope: Process piping, equipment setting, structural steel, and plant maintenance
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License

How You Will Make An Impact

• Maintain clear daily documentation and facilitate active weekly safety meetings with your field crew.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory leadership role within the industrial construction trades.
• Strong experience routing and installing process piping through active industrial production environments.
• Hands-on proficiency working with butt weld and socket weld systems up to 8 inches in diameter.
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from detailed P&IDs, plan views, and isometric drawings.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• U.S. citizenship or green card verification.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Flexibility to travel up to 40% and work flexible shifts, including nights and overtime as required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Over 5 years of related industrial mechanical construction experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 /OSHA 30 certification.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and standards alongside SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes.
• Strong ability to generate accurate isometric shop drawings from direct field measurements.
• Hands-on experience in industrial pipefitting.
