Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial projects. You will ensure materials, equipment and information are available to complete work, reporting to the Director of Industrial Services.

As an extension of the PM, you will protect company interests, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, track schedules, manage buyouts, and help ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 1–3 years experience.
• Office software proficiency: Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, and PDF tools.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus.
• Ability to learn Procore and Viewpoint; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with permits, proposals, contracts, schedules, and change orders.
• Review specs and drawings to define subcontractor scopes.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals and maintain logs.
• Manage materials purchasing and vendor relations.
• Create and maintain internal project schedules and tracking reports.
• Support safety enforcement and client communications on schedules.
• Attend project meetings and document minutes.
