Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Suffolk, VA is seeking an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial projects.

You will report to the Director of Industrial Services and help ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and information to the field. Responsibilities include reviewing permits, proposals, contracts, schedules; coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers; maintaining logs; and helping manage cost, safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a construction environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools; able to read drawings and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management in permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders.
• Review specs and drawings for subcontractor scopes and project tracking.
• Prepare submittals and RFIs; maintain logs and schedules.
• Manage materials, equipment purchases, vendor relations, and invoices.
