Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and information are available to complete projects safely and efficiently.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years in construction are expected. Proficiency with MS Office, Revit/AutoCAD is preferred and willingness to learn Procore and Viewpoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 1–3 years of experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing (Bluebeam, Adobe).
• Familiar with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks).
• Able to learn Procore and Viewpoint.
• Proven ability to work with teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management with permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders.
• Review specs and drawings for subcontractor scopes and tracking.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals and maintain logs.
• Manage materials and equipment purchasing and vendor relations.
• Coordinate subcontractor and client meetings and minutes.
• Provide closeout documentation and turnover packages.
