Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Project Engineer to support field operations on industrial projects.

The role reports to the Director of Industrial Services and ensures field teams have the materials, equipment and information needed to complete the work while aligning with customer goals and company interests. You will help manage permits, submittals, schedules and change orders, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 1–3 years of experience (or equivalent).
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Project, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing (Bluebeam, Adobe).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks) is a plus.
• Ability to learn company-specific software such as Procore and Viewpoint.
• Proven track record working with people, teams and projects.
• Must multi-task, follow instructions, show attention to detail and sound problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures; available to work assigned schedules.

Responsibilities

• The Industrial Project Engineer assists project management in the submission and review of permits, proposals, contracts, schedules and change orders.
• Reviews specifications and drawings in preparation of subcontractor scopes of work and project tracking.
• Understands contract documents and helps identify scope gaps.
• Prepares and distributes project RFIs and submittals and maintains logs.
• Reviews vendor/submittals for conformance to contract documents and tracks the process.
• Manages project-specific materials and equipment purchases including sourcing, vendor relations, ordering, deliveries and invoices.
• Assists project manager and procurement with the buyout process.
• Creates and maintains internal project schedules and tracking reports.
• Supports field in expediting schedule, field paperwork and expediting materials.
• Assist project superintendent with site safety and notifies management of issues affecting safety, quality, budget or progress.
• Supports communications with client regarding project schedules and milestones.
• Attends/schedules project meetings with the project team, clients, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers; prepares meeting minutes.
• Coordinates punch list walks and compiles closeout documentation for turnover to client.
• Establishes positive relationships with team members, management, vendors and clients.
• Keeps up-to-date on industry technology and developments.
