Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager based in Austin, TX. The role focuses on planning and execution of project steps, coordinating with project managers and team members, and handling administrative duties including document management and budget oversight.

Occasional travel to sites outside Texas is expected. The candidate will work with vendors, clients, and staff to meet project expectations, prepare estimates and invoices, and monitor progress.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience helping to manage industrial construction projects up to $1M with high complexity.
• 3+ years client relationships and business development with proven bid experience.
• Proven leadership, process adherence, responsibility and risk management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Project Managers, client, and supervision to plan, develop and oversee site projects, establish priorities and assign resources.
• Prepares estimates and invoices and tracks project progress with project software.
• Researches project information to support the team.
• Updates project schedule, budget and spending and reports on progress to management.
• Assists with cost management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Assists in identifying scope changes, communicating milestones and coordinating contracts.
• Builds relationships to identify opportunities and supports business growth.
• Plans and schedules resources to meet project demands.
• Reviews drawings, specifications, calculations and graphs to ensure compliance with codes and practices.
• Ensures equipment, tools and personnel comply with SIC policies and safety requirements.
