ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, REHABILITATION & REENTRY (ADCRR) seeks an Industrial Program Specialist to oversee workforce participants and inmates at Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) sites in Florence. The role emphasizes production supervision, security, and safe work environments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with regional managers, coaching staff, and facilitating credentialing or apprenticeship opportunities for participants, while ensuring compliance with all state rules

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal, State, and agency laws and procedures relevant to the assignment.
• Understanding inmate management and supervision practices.
• Ability to enforce security and safety policies.
• Attention to detail in reports and documentation.
• Experience in inventory and search techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supervises workforce participants and community-based work crews at ACI work sites.
• Maintains safety and security of participants and crews through site, vehicle, pat, and strip searches.
• Conducts observations and headcounts to ensure accountability.
• Oversees production activities and workforce conduct in manufacturing centers.
• Coordinates with regional managers to align workforce efforts with production schedules.
• Reviews work output and administers performance evaluations.
• Maintains safe, orderly work sites and supervises civilian crew leaders.
• Submits reports on incidents, performance, and operational issues.
• Assists participants in gaining credentials and apprenticeship opportunities.
• Monitors contractors for compliance with ACI contract obligations.
• Partners with Training and Education Manager to help participants secure post-release employment.
• Drives state vehicles to transport participants or perform state business.
• Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment.
