Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and repairing surface imperfections.
• Mix paints and coatings as per specifications and production needs.
• Apply industrial coatings using conventional and HVLP spray equipment.
• Inspect painted components for coverage, finish quality, and compliance with drawings.
• Rework or reapply paint to meet quality standards.
• Mask areas to remain unpainted during application.
• Set up and tear down tooling and fixturing for production runs.
• Maintain inventory of paints, coatings, and supplies.
• Follow quality control procedures and document production details.
• Keep work area clean and safe, adhering to PPE requirements.

Position Title: Industrial Process Painter
Wage: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm
Location: Unionville, MO
QPS Employment Group has a great Industrial Process Painter position available at a company in Unionville, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Industrial Process Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and repairing surface imperfections.
• Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and production requirements.
• Apply industrial coatings using conventional and/or HVLP spray equipment.
• Inspect painted components to ensure proper coverage, finish quality, and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Rework or reapply paint as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Mask areas that should remain free of paint during the application process.
• Set up and tear down tooling and fixturing required for production runs.
• Maintain inventory of paints, coatings, and painting supplies.
• Follow all quality control procedures and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Industrial Process Painter Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience applying wet paint using conventional or HVLP spray equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience setting up and removing tooling and fixturing used during production.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Regularly lift and carry 10–15 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators as needed.
