Job summary

AtWork Group seeks an experienced Industrial Painter for a full-time position in Houston. Work is Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with a pay rate of $24/hour. Responsibilities include surface prep, applying coatings, and inspecting finished work to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates have prior industrial painting experience, knowledge of spray painting and coatings, and strong attention to detail. Safety, PPE use, and ability to work both independently and on a team are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and removing contaminants
• Mix and prepare paints, coatings, primers, and other materials according to specifications
• Apply industrial coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment
• Maintain consistent coverage, thickness, and finish quality
• Inspect completed work for defects, uneven coverage, runs, drips, or other imperfections
• Perform touch-ups and corrections as needed
• Follow production specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, tools, and painting equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
• Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, and quality concerns to supervisors

Location: Houston, TX 77084 Schedule: Monday– Thursday, 6: 00 AM– 4: 30 PM Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Ability to work around paint, coatings, fumes, dust, and industrial equipment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator/respiratory protection when applicable
• Ability to safely handle materials and painting equipment
