Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings in Greensboro, GA, seeks a Process Engineer to drive plant output optimization, reduce downtime and scrap, and improve process control. You will develop procedures, support capital projects, and lead data-driven improvements onsite.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and collaboration with the plant leadership team, with a Monday–Friday onsite schedule in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering with 3–10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in high-volume, continuous manufacturing environments.
• Experience in HSE regulatory compliance/engineering preferred.
• Experience in PVC processing and extrusion desired.
• Fundamental understanding of OT networks and automation.
• Process/Manufacturing Engineering skills and CI expertise.
• Strong problem-solving with analytical approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct technical activities to solve problems across the facility.
• Develop and maintain SOPs/SOCs and training for new products and systems.
• Analyze scrap, downtime, line rates and material usage; prepare charts and reports for data-driven decisions.
• Reduce process variation to ensure product quality and compliance with standards.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through materials, product and process improvements.
• Utilize CI tools like Lean, Six Sigma, 5S/6S, TPM, Kaizen, DOE, FMEAs.
