Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced Industrial/Mechanical Preconstruction Manager to lead medium to large, complex projects from preconstruction through hand-off to operations. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, and strategy, coordinating trade partners, engineering and design/build teams to secure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in industrial construction preconstruction, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Timberline Estimating.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum eight years of estimating and/or project management in industrial construction.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Timberline Estimating and ability to learn other software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of estimating, scheduling, strategy and communication during preconstruction.
• Review weekly preconstruction progress and escalate issues impacting cost or schedule.
• Coordinate building systems and schedules with trade partners and design/build teams.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and drive standardized operating practices.
• Develop relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure profitable handoff to construction.
