Tesla in Austin, Texas is seeking a Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join our Central Engineering Infrastructure Design Team. You will design industrial power systems, lead procurement for HV/MV gear, and collaborate across construction, facilities, operations, and maintenance.

The role requires 4+ years in power engineering, proficiency with SKM/eTAP, AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication and documentation skills. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electrical power systems or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in power engineering.
• Experience using SKM, eTAP, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills for interfacing with engineers, vendors, and installation teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop long lead equipment specs and manage procurement for HV/MV and MV/LV gear.
• Perform design reviews and attend factory acceptance tests to verify fabrication and testing.
• Create detailed design deliverables: one-lines, schematics, wiring, cable schedules, layouts.
• Collaborate with construction, facilities, operations and maintenance focusing on reliability and operability.
• Manage electrical power system studies using SKM/eTAP to support design.
• Write basis of design and scopes for outside EPC firms and manage them.
