Job summary

GEROME MANUFACTURING is seeking a full-time painter/powder coating operator in Smithfield, PA. You will read drawings, mix paints to specs, and apply dry powder coatings using bucket and gun, while following PPE and safety procedures.

You will set up and operate curing ovens and related equipment to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include surface prep, masking, and using grinders and deburring tools as part of production, ensuring quality and on-time delivery in a hands-on

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize instructions from manufacturing print drawings, and other types of measuring devices used in manufacturing.
• Mix paint to manufacturer and customer specifications.
• Work with required PPE for mixing, application, curing, and cleaning procedures.
• Operate a heated curing booth.
• Set up a powder application (bucket & gun).
• Apply dry powder paint to surfaces at customer specifications.
• Mask surface areas prior to the paint application to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow PPE procedures for mixing, application, curing, and cleaning.
• Operate curing booth and powder application equipment.
• Set up and use surface grinders, dyne-files, die grinders, hand drills.
