MatWorks in Dalton, GA is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Travel to Mountville may be required.

You will create, modify and test PLC code, change ladder logic, setup HMI screens, program drives and other electronic components, and use CMMS to track maintenance activities. Safety procedures and MTBF/MTTR improvement are essential.

Formación

• Two years PLC programming experience required; five+ years preferred.
• Allen-Bradley PLC experience RSLogix500, Studio5000.
• Ability to travel to other branch locations, sometimes on short notice.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Associates degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Capable of working flexible hours, overtime when necessary.
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or 5S is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Must be able to work independently as necessary.
• Create, Modify, and test PLC code.
• Change ladder logic in PLC program.
• Setup HMI screens and make changes to HMI screens.
• Program drives and other electronic components.
• This position may involve travel to Mountville branch locations.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems).
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary.
• Devise, fabricate and assemble mechanical components for machinery or equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Use meters and a variety of hand/power tools; handle materials safely.
• Initiate corrective and preventative action within your scope.
• Be a catalyst of positive change to improve MTBF and MTTR.
• Use CMMS system to track maintenance activities.
• Keep work area and tools clean and orderly.
• Identify electrical problems using testing devices.
