Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Longview, WA, is seeking an Intermediate-level Pipefitter to perform maintenance and repair on piping systems within a large paper mill. The role requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness to train to reach Journeyman status while adhering to safety protocols.

You will read blueprints, cut and weld, operate cranes and welding tools, and coordinate with operators, engineers and management to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial maintenance as pipefitter.
• Experience in pulp and paper or heavy industry is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and take measurements.
• Pass a multi-phase physical and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair piping systems and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and lay out weld points.
• Operate welding equipment, cranes, pipe threading machines.
