Job summary

SemiConX in Austin, Texas is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a full-time, on-site role at a semiconductor facility. You will install, test, and maintain piping and electrical systems integral to process equipment, ensuring compliance with ASME, ANSI, and OSHA standards.

The position requires proficiency in pipefitting, conduit pulling, welding basics, and interpreting blueprints, with strong teamwork and clear communication in English. On-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Formal pipefitting or plumbing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Experience with piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and alloys.
• Proficiency in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and repair industrial piping systems at the facility.
• Read blueprints and determine routing and placement of piping components.
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as required using TIG, MIG, or stick methods.
• Conduct testing to verify system integrity and leaks, and document results.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to coordinate work.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, OSHA, and site safety standards.
