Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Pipefitter for a long-term maintenance role. The position requires layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of pipe systems, supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for industrial production and processing facilities.

The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, with no per diem or relocation funding. Candidates must be Journeyman-level in pipefitting with 3+ years of experience and be able to work outdoors in all weather while wearing

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Industrial Pipefitter with minimum of 3 years of Pipefitting experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check as conditions of employment.
• Must provide your own fire-retardant clothing (FRC).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Operate pipe cutting tools, torches, threaders, and benders to prepare pipe segments.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials per specs.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and components per specs.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Inspect worksites for obstructions and safety concerns.
• Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded areas.
• Work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and endure long periods standing.
• Outdoor work in all weather; wear required PPE.
• Perform duties with safety, quality, and productivity in mind.
