Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman pipefitters in laying out, fabricating, assembling and installing piping systems and related equipment.
• Select pipe types and materials according to job specs and inspect worksite for obstructions.
• Plan installation sequence to avoid conflicts and operate cutting and threading tools.
• Mount hangers, brackets and supports; weld or join pipes as required; test piping systems for leaks.
• Load, transport and handle materials; observe safety and project rules; support maintenance activities.
