Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter to lay out, install and maintain pipe systems, supports and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment for industrial production and processing facilities in Lake Charles, LA. This role requires hands-on ability with pipe fabrication, measurement, cutting, threading and installation according to specifications.

Required are NCCER, TWIC and a valid driver's license, with 3–5 years of Journeyman experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER, TWIC and DL certifications are required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
