Job summary

Albemarle is hiring a Pipe Welder for an on-site role in Magnolia, AR. The candidate will perform SMAW and GTAW welding on carbon and stainless piping, fabricate and maintain piping systems, and read P&IDs and isometrics to execute field work with safety first.

Required 3–5+ years of industrial pipe welding experience, high school diploma or GED, and welding skills. Certification is a plus, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years industrial pipe welding experience in chemical/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read P&IDs, blueprints and isometric drawings.
• Experience performing SMAW and GTAW on carbon steel and stainless piping.
• Ability to fabricate, grind, bevel, and prepare pipe for welding and pass tests.
• Familiarity with safe work practices in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW and GTAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and other plant materials.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair and maintain piping systems and related equipment.
• Read and work from P&IDs, blueprints and isometrics to complete work accurately.
• Create/modify isometric drawings and field sketches as needed.
• Prepare materials for welding through cutting, grinding and beveling.
• Operate torches and cutters safely and efficiently.
• Pass visual, X-ray and other NDE inspections.
• Participate in safety meetings and JSA/LSA procedures.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering to ensure plant reliability.
