Job summary

Albemarle's Magnolia site is hiring a Pipe Welder to join a safety‑conscious team dedicated to reliability and quality. You will weld carbon and stainless piping, read P&IDs and drawings, fabricate and modify components, and ensure workmanship meets codes and NDE requirements.

This on‑site role emphasizes collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering to support plant performance. Qualified candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, welding experience, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent military/work experience.
• Industrial pipe welding, fabrication, or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings.
• Experience performing SMAW and GTAW on carbon steel and stainless steel piping.
• Fabricate, grind, bevel, and prepare pipe for welding and pass welding tests.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in chemical/industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW and GTAW welding on piping and related equipment.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair, and maintain piping systems and vessels.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, isometrics; prepare drawings as needed.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow Albemarle safety policies.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Ensure welds meet quality standards and NDE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and plant reliability.
