Job summary

Albemarle Corporation in Magnolia, AR is hiring a Pipe Welder to join our on-site team. You will perform SMAW and GTAW welding on carbon steel and stainless piping, fabricate and maintain piping systems, and work from P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, industrial welding experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to ensure reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with industrial pipe welding, fabrication, or maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings.
• Experience performing SMAW and GTAW welding on carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems.
• Ability to fabricate, grind, bevel, and prepare pipe for welding and pass applicable welding qualification tests.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in a chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW and GTAW on carbon and stainless piping.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair piping systems and related equipment.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and isometric drawings.
• Create and modify isometric drawings and field sketches.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, beveling, fitting.
• Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders safely.
• Perform welds that meet quality standards and pass NDE inspections.
• Conduct field inspections for maintenance needs and improvements.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow Albemarle safety policies.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and pursue excellence.
