Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Combination Welder to join its field operations in Pasadena, CA. You will weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters in installing carbon, stainless and chrome piping into project systems.

The role requires reading blueprints, planning layouts, and applying welding procedures for 2G/4G/6G positions, with stick and TIG welding on pipe. A successful candidate will have 4+ years of industrial welding experience, pass a weld test, meet safety requirements, and be able to work

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• 4+ years of industrial welding experience on pipe (carbon, stainless, chrome).
• Ability to weld in 2G, 4G and 6G positions and pass a weld test.
• Stick and TIG welding on pipe required, with proper safety practices.
• Knowledge of different metal characteristics and welding effects.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layouts, assembly, and welding using geometry and metal properties.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure for welding.
• Set equipment and weld using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas arc welding.
• Weld metal materials to piping systems using appropriate procedures.
