Job summary

Zachry Group in Cameron, LA is seeking an experienced Industrial Combo Welder to weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters on project piping systems. This role requires proficiency in welding 2G/4G/6G, stick and TIG processes and the ability to read blueprints for industrial pipe work.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of welding experience on carbon steel, stainless, and chrome pipes, hold current welding certification with Zachry or pass a weld test, and be able to meet physical demands

Qualifications

• 4+ years welding experience on industrial pipe (schedules 40/80/160).
• Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions; stick and TIG weld on pipe.
• Current welding certification with Zachry or able to pass a weld test.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings to efficiently perform work.
• Must meet physical requirements and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan layouts and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and weld techniques.
• Layout, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components in various positions.
• Tack-weld and clamp parts to secure for welding; set up equipment and weld.
• Weld piping systems using appropriate welding procedures for various metals.
• Identify equipment and safety risks and requirements.
