The role involves cutting, threading, bending, and joining pipes, installing hydraulic/pneumatic components, and testing systems. Physical stamina and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass written Pipe Fitter test.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers.
• Ability to perform basic math with a calculator for pipe fitting.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe type and size and related materials per specifications.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and conflicts with others.
• Cut and thread pipe using appropriate tools.
• Bend and assemble pipes with joints using various methods.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets and hangers.
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and equipment.
• Install and test piping systems and control devices per blueprints.
• Observe safety rules and project guidelines.
