Job summary

Repcon, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely preparation of payrolls across industrial construction, turnaround, fabrication, and maintenance operations.

You will collect time sheets, track labor hours, allocate project labor time, and process travel expenses while maintaining confidentiality. Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or GED and 0–2 years in administrative roles with payroll exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in admin/support, HR assistant, or clerical accounting roles; payroll exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and processing: enter field timekeeping data, upload and enter timesheets; onboard new hires and track status changes.
• Industrial timekeeping verification: review and reconcile high-volume payroll exceptions, overtime, per diems, travel by project.
• Calculations, deductions and allocations: compute wages, overtime, holiday pay; map hours to projects; withholdings for taxes.
• Compliance & certified payroll: assist with weekly payroll reports to ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations (Davis-Bacon Act where applicable).
• Discrepancy resolution: investigate and resolve payment discrepancies caused by time misallocations cross-departmentally.
• Record keeping & administration: maintain secure files of sensitive employee data following data privacy laws.
