Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our nationwide maintenance team. The role involves surface preparation and coating applications across diverse industrial settings, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience, proficiency with abrasive blasting, cleaning methods, and applying coatings via brush, roller, and airless spray.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial surface preparation and coating applications.
• Experience with abrasive blasting, hand tool cleaning, power-tool cleaning, pressure washing.
• Experience applying industrial coatings using brush, roller, and airless spray equipment.
• Able to read coating specifications, product data sheets, and jobsite requirements.
• Able to work safely at heights and around moving industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, dry film thickness, recoat windows, and general industrial painting practices.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to obtain required credentials for access to the Port of Miami.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings following specifications.
• Perform abrasive blasting, hand tool cleaning, power-tool cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Apply coatings using brush, roller, and airless spray equipment.
• Read coating specs, product data sheets, and jobsite requirements.
• Work safely at heights and around moving equipment.
• Monitor dry film thickness and manage recoat windows.
• Maintain reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Obtain credentials for Port of Miami access.
