Job summary

M&M Talent Group in Waller, TX seeks an experienced Industrial Painter for a full-time role. You will prepare metal surfaces, apply industrial coatings to large-scale equipment, and ensure coating specifications are met.

Ideal candidate has background in surface prep, spray application, coatings, and quality inspection. You will work with spray equipment, primers, paints, and solvents, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Prior industrial painting experience preferred.
• Experience with spray painting equipment preferred.
• Experience with abrasive blasting and surface prep is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial paints, primers, coatings, and application techniques.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and coating specifications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify surface and coating defects.
• Ability to safely work with paints, solvents, and other industrial chemicals.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal and fabricated surfaces for painting and coating.
• Perform grinding, sanding, cleaning, masking, and other surface-prep activities.
• Perform abrasive blasting when required.
• Apply primers, paints, and industrial coatings using spray equipment and other approved application methods.
• Properly mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specifications.
• Follow coating manufacturers instructions and established application procedures.
• Inspect surfaces before, during, and after coating applications.
• Monitor coating coverage, thickness, appearance, and finish quality.
• Identify and correct coating defects when necessary.
• Operate and maintain spray guns, hoses, pumps, blasting equipment, and related tools.
• Properly clean and maintain painting equipment.
• Handle paints, solvents, and other chemicals in accordance with safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform other painting and surface-preparation duties as assigned.
