Job summary

SPX Technologies in Ohio is seeking a Painter, Powder Coat, or Sandblaster to prepare, coat, and finish fabricated metal components for industrial air movement equipment. You will follow safety guidelines, operate painting and powder coating equipment, and ensure coatings meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing or industrial production experience.
• Experience with painting, powder coating, sandblasting, or similar finishing processes.
• Ability to read work orders and production documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental procedures.
• Prepare metal components by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and sandblasting surfaces prior to coating.
• Operate industrial spray painting and powder coating equipment to apply coatings evenly and efficiently.
• Read work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing instructions to ensure correct materials, colors, and finishes are applied.
• Inspect finished components for coating thickness, coverage, adhesion, finish quality, and defects.
