Job summary

Nabors is seeking a Painter/Blaster to prepare and coat surfaces on oil field equipment, using abrasive blasting to remove rust and old coatings. You will mix coatings, apply primers and finishes, and ensure quality control on painted components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience, fluency in English, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Valid driver’s license is preferred and 5S lean practices apply on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years related experience are required.
• Fluency in English; ability to read safety and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Mask and cover components not to be painted or blasted.
• Perform abrasive blasting on metal surfaces to remove rust, scale, and coatings.
• Mix and prepare paints and coatings per specifications.
• Inspect surfaces before/after painting for proper prep and coating.
• Apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray equipment.
• Operate, clean, and maintain painting and blasting equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work area using 5S Lean principles.
• Measure thickness of paint and complete inspection forms.
• Overtime and/or weekend work as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Team Lead or Manager.
