Job summary

The role ensures high-quality finishes through surface prep, equipment maintenance, and adherence to paint specifications.

You will mask parts, mix colors, perform surface prep, maintain painting gear, and inspect work to meet mil and gloss standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of painting experience in automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment settings.
• Strong math skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Able to wear a respirator and pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
• Willing to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular, on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

• Apply primer, paint, and touch-up coatings using spray equipment and brushes.
• Mask and unmask parts to meet specifications.
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, washing, and conditioning; perform light bodywork if needed.
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain painting equipment.
• Flush tanks and lines during color changes.
• Mix paints for color accuracy and viscosity.
• Inspect work to ensure mil and gloss standards.
• Transport parts and materials as needed and keep area clean.
