Job summary

Kewaunee Fabrications, an Oshkosh company in Wisconsin, seeks a painting technician to apply coatings and maintain quality finishes on heavy fabrication projects. You will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, and monitor cure times while ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times.

The role offers a 3rd shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with a $1/hour premium on 2nd and 3rd shifts and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude and good reading/writing ability.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
• Must pass a physical exam for respirator use and be able to enter confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, apply, and verify coating and surface preparation as required.
• Keep substrates clean and free of dirt or oil contamination.
• Mix and apply coatings per manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain proper coating thickness and correct defects to a high finish.
• Adjust paint parameters based on humidity or temperature and perform routine cleaning.
