Job summary

Teamind in Kaukauna, WI is seeking a Painter to apply paint and coatings to metal piping, tanks and structures per customer specs. The role covers painting of pipe spools, structural steel, and machined parts with various coatings using airless and conventional sprayers.

The position is full-time on 1st shift (Tue-Fri, 6:00am-4:30pm) with emphasis on preparing surfaces, mixing coatings, maintaining tools, and adhering to all safety guidelines on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to calculate proportions, percent, area, volume.
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.
• Ability to problem solve and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Paint pipe spools, structural steel, positioners, and machined parts.
• Use dry and wet mil gauges.
• Maintain and clean equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure materials are available in mixing area before starting.
• Mix, thin, and apply Alkyds, Latex, Zinc Rich, Epoxies, and Urethane coatings.
• Dispose of excess materials properly.
• Use airless and conventional sprayers.
• Be trained on forklift, tug, overhead crane, and tractor.
• Maintain organization of the shop floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and discuss unsafe situations with supervisor.
