Job summary

Aerotek in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare and finish industrial structures and enclosures with high-quality coatings. You will clean surfaces, apply primers, mix coatings, and spray with industrial equipment to deliver durable, uniform finishes. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork in a semi-automation job shop environment.

Typical schedule is four days with overtime potential; onsite and contract-to-hire. Monday-Thursday 5:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • 35 years of manufacturing or industrial painting experience.
  • Proven industrial paint experience, including surface preparation and application of primers, topcoats, and specialty coatings.
  • Hands-on experience with spray guns and related industrial painting equipment.
  • Proficiency in sanding, grinding, and other mechanical preparation methods for metal or industrial surfaces.
  • Ability to mix paints and coatings accurately to achieve required color, consistency, and finish.
  • Experience with industrial paint prep processes in a job shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to inspect painted surfaces and identify defects, imperfections, or areas requiring rework.
  • Capability to perform routine maintenance on painting tools and equipment and identify equipment issues.

  • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain painting tools and equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  • Support painting operations on industrial structure enclosures such as energy enclosures, rail enclosures, and power generator-style enclosures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in painting large industrial structures or enclosures, such as energy, rail, or power generator enclosures.

The setting is a job shop that builds industrial structure enclosures, including energy enclosures, rail-related enclosures, and power generator-style enclosures. You will regularly use spray guns, sanding tools, grinding equipment, and may work around sandblasting and powder coating operations. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and used consistently to ensure safe handling of paints, coatings, and related materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
