Industrial Painter

Department: Paint

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Technibus

Shift: 1st 2nd 3rd

No prior experience needed. Candidate will be trained on-site via the Technibus Paint School Training Program.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paints to various surfaces using pressure pots and conventional spray methods. This role requires knowledge of metal finishing, attention to detail in paint thickness checks, and the ability to safely handle and store paint and supplies. The Painter will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that supplies are well stocked and available for production needs.

The Technibus Paint School Training Program covers:

• Learning all operations and safety procedures of the paint booth
• How to use correct gloves, respirators, etc. to ensure safety
• How to adjust paint gun to correct settings to achieve desired coating
• Correctly mixing paints to achieve the proper finish
• Importance of cleaning all paint equipment using proper procedures and chemicals
• Verifying the paint thickness during the paint process
• Identifying defects and how to fix them

Specific Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Onsite Training: On-the-job training is available for all necessary operational and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.

This role is essential to ensuring the painting process meets quality, safety, and operational standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in painting techniques, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in a production environment.
