Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio. The ideal candidate will prepare surfaces for painting, apply coatings to large equipment and panels, and operate spray guns and related painting equipment while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of industrial painting experience required.
  • Experience with surface preparation and industrial spray painting.
  • Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial shop environment preferred.
  • Experience operating spray guns, pressure pots, compressed air systems, and other painting equipment.
  • Experience with industrial paints, primers, solvents, and coatings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and priming as required.
  • Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and free of dirt, oil, grease, rust, dust, and other contaminants before painting.
  • Apply paint and protective coatings to large equipment, metal panels, and enclosure components.
  • Operate spray guns, pressure pots, compressed air systems, and other painting equipment.
  • Apply paint evenly while preventing runs, streaks, drips, overspray, and other defects.
  • Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications.
  • Mix and handle paints, solvents, primers, and other coating materials according to established procedures.
  • Properly clean and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, hoses, paint equipment, and work areas.
  • Perform regular cleanup of paint stations and surrounding work areas.
  • Properly store, handle, and dispose of paint products, solvents, and other hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Follow all required safety procedures when working with paints, solvents, chemicals, compressed air, and painting equipment.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, production specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production, quality, and safety concerns.
  • Assist other departments and perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations.

Job Summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Batavia, Ohio.

The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing metal surfaces and applying paint and protective coatings to large equipment, panels, and enclosure components. This position requires experience with surface preparation, spray painting, compressed air equipment, spray guns, pressure pots, and related painting equipment.

The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality work, pay strong attention to detail, understand proper paint and solvent handling procedures, and be committed to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

This position requires the ability to work independently while also working effectively with the production team to meet quality and production goals.
