Job summary

Cope Plastics Inc Lenexa, KS is seeking an Experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow the customer base in the Lenexa area. The role emphasizes relationship-building, pursuing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer support in a fast-paced environment.

Base salary starts at $69K/year plus monthly commissions. You will travel throughout the assigned territory, plan sales activities, present quotes and contracts, and support credit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
• Experience in plastics or industrial sales strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license to participate in the Company Car program.

Responsibilities

• Travels throughout assigned territory to pursue and acquire new business and maintains existing business.
• Plans sales activities and monitors industry and competitor trends.
• Provides applications assistance by determining customer needs; creating and upgrading product applications; and sourcing products for customers.
• Presents, reviews and negotiates quotes and contracts, provides feedback to questions from account managers and centralization and assists in credit collection.
• Confers and shares customer information with account and branch managers and prepares sales reports.
