FYI - For Your Information, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Industrial/Organizational Psychologist to lead HR research initiatives and provide advisory support for government-grade programs. The role requires advanced degrees and extensive relevant experience.

You will design and validate assessment tools, analyze HR data, prepare reports and briefings, and advise management on workforce policies and strategies. Onsite in DC with a focus on government HRR initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Master's in IO psychology.
• Or 6+ years post-degree with a PhD in IO psychology.
• Strong knowledge of test theory, psychometrics, statistics, and research methods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research studies to evaluate HR systems and tools.
• Consult with management on conclusions and recommendations.
• Apply test theory, psychometrics, and statistics to HR data analysis.
• Analyze job requirements to support development of HR testing tools.
• Draft revisions of agency policies and procedures for government approval.
• Prepare reports, briefing decks, white papers, and memos.
• Advise on laws and regulations impacting work initiatives.
• Develop and validate personnel assessment tools for selection or promotion.
• Provide project management support and track progress.
• Assist in data collection/analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Support HRR initiatives through meetings, trainings, and briefings.
• Record arrival/departure times in the agency timekeeping system.

Position Summary

Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field; or a minimum of six (6) years of relevant post-degree experience with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a closely related field.

Onsite, Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of existing HR systems and tools.
• Consult with or advise management on conclusions and recommendations.
• Apply knowledge of test theory, psychometric methodology, and statistics to research and analyze HR data related to recruitment, hiring, retention, career development, and workforce analysis.
• Analyze job requirements (tasks and competencies) to support development of HR testing and career development tools.
• Design and draft revisions of agency policies and operating procedures related to human capital initiatives for Government approval.
• Draft technical and non-technical reports, briefing slide decks, white papers, memos, and other deliverables on a weekly to monthly basis.
• Advise the Government to ensure mandated laws, rules, and regulations are properly assessed for potential impact on work initiatives.
• Develop and validate personnel assessment tools for selection and/or promotion purposes.
• Provide project management support, including resolution of complex issues, establishing and maintaining timelines, monitoring project work activities, and communicating progress and status.
• Assist in the collection and analysis of data using qualitative and quantitative strategies to draw practical conclusions and answer research questions.
• Assist in conducting meetings, workshops, trainings, and briefings related to HRR initiatives on a weekly to monthly basis.
• Record arrival and departure times in the agency's timekeeping system.

Required Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of principles, applications, methodologies, theories, and standards of personnel research and human resources management, including test theory, psychometric methodology, statistics, and research methods.
