The Weitz Company is seeking an Operations Director for the Industrial team with up to 75% travel. This role leads all construction operations, oversees Project Executives and Senior Managers, and drives strategic growth across multiple locations.

The Director reports to the Business Unit Leader and shapes the annual operating and growth plans. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of PM experience, LEAN IPD familiarity, and strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in an industry-related field or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of construction project management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic execution abilities.
• LEAN IPD principles experience desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Aufgaben

• Ensure safety culture, quality, profitability, and on-time project delivery.
• Partner with business development to pursue opportunities and maintain client relationships.
• Oversee lifecycle of projects from preconstruction to closeout, including schedules and budgets.
• Recruit and develop staff; identify training gaps and succession needs.
• Drive risk management, value engineering, and change order negotiations.
• Lead disputes among subcontractors, vendors, architects, and owners.
