Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks an Operations Director for the Industrial team to drive construction operations across multiple sites in the U.S. The role requires up to 75% weekly travel and the ability to work from remote offices, projects, or client locations to meet business objectives.

You will lead project executives and managers, shape the annual operating plan, manage risk, pursue growth opportunities, and foster a strong safety and quality culture on all projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Fifteen plus years of construction project management experience.
• Lean IPD principles knowledge is highly desirable.
• LEAN/OSHA training or certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee industrial construction operations and lead multiple project teams.
• Develop and execute annual operating and strategic growth plans.
• Lead risk management, value engineering and dispute resolution.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop staff for future growth.
• Ensure safety culture, profitability, quality, and client satisfaction.
