Job summary

Trener Robotics, Inc. seeks a Field-Focused Integration Engineer to lead on-site installation, commissioning, and integration of robotic cells in production facilities.

You will ensure safety compliance, optimize performance, and provide hands-on customer support and training. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in a related field, 3+ years of industrial robotics deployment experience, and familiarity with 6-DOF arms, PLCs, and CAD-based layout design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on industrial robotics integration and deployment experience.
• Experience integrating robots in real production environments; academic experience alone not sufficient.
• Experience with 6-DOF robot arms from major manufacturers (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Universal Robots).
• Knowledge of electrical and safety standards (ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06, NFPA 79, NEC, CE).
• Experience with industrial PLCs, electrical panel design, and control systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and integration planning.
• Understanding of motor control, servo systems, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Strong project management and customer deployments experience.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation and commissioning of robotic systems at customer facilities.
• Design and implement integration strategies for industrial robotic cells including manipulators, safety systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct system validation, safety assessments, and performance optimization in production environments.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and electrical codes.
• Provide hands-on customer support, training, and field troubleshooting services.
• Collaborate with customers to understand production requirements and adapt solutions accordingly.
• Develop deployment documentation, risk assessments, and SOPs.
• Drive continuous improvement of field integration processes and best practices.
• Perform FAT and SAT to validate system performance.
