Job summary

Matrix Design, LLC in Bartlett, IL, is seeking an on-site Robotic Automation Technician to install, commission, and tune robotic cells across FANUC, ABB, and Yaskawa platforms. You’ll verify I/O, load programs, calibrate paths, and document changes to keep systems safe and productive.

You’ll work with project managers and controls engineers, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement through optimization of cycles, safety, and drawing updates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working directly with robotic systems in manufacturing or automation environments.
• Background in robotic integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Familiarity with risk assessments, safety protocols, and industrial standards
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and prove out robotic and automated systems at customer facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and diagnose issues across robots, PLCs, HMIs, and peripherals.
• Assist with programming, calibration, and cycle-time tuning; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Document changes, update schematics, and uphold safety standards in collaboration with engineers.
