Job summary

Synergetics, located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to deploy and support network infrastructures for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform, Synovate. This hands-on role involves traveling to client manufacturing facilities for installation and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including routers and VPNs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network management, ensuring reliable IoT device communication and contributing to automation efforts. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, unlimited PTO, and a 401K match.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks, including site surveys and interference mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy network infrastructure at client manufacturing sites including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and VPN configurations.
• Configure and troubleshoot WireGuard VPNs and Mikrotik industrial routers for secure client connectivity.
• Conduct customer site surveys and address connectivity challenges in factory environments.
• Troubleshoot IoT device connectivity and ensure reliable communication between edge devices and the platform.
• Serve as backup for the senior network engineer during deployments and escalations.
