Job summary
Our client is seeking a Mixer Operator in Morris, IL to support the production process. You will handle chemicals and rubber, verify ingredients with the Banbury Mixing Sheet, and operate the #11 Banbury mixer in auto and manual modes. A strong emphasis on safety and accuracy is essential.
The role requires reading and following directions in English, lifting up to 75 lbs, and maintaining clean equipment. This is a hands-on position with growth potential within a dynamic manufacturing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to repeatedly lift at least 75 lbs safely.
- Must be able to read and understand directions, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong safety habits and awareness of safe work practices.
- Basic understanding of PLC screens and temperature adjustments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Position containers of chemicals and rubber safely and efficiently.
- Identify chemicals and rubber to ensure proper handling.
- Use the Banbury Mixing Sheet to confirm ingredients per batch.
- Operate the Banbury mixer in automatic and manual modes.
- Maintain a clean mixer, including door and throat, for safety and efficiency.
