Job summary

Methuen Construction is seeking a skilled Millwright to read and interpret blueprints, rig, move, and set machinery on our active construction sites.

You will align baseplates, couple motors, install vibration isolation, and assemble equipment with hand and power tools, ensuring safe, precise installation.

This full-time, hourly role requires experience with construction equipment, OSHA safety practices, and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
• High School or Vocational education with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction industry.
• Experience in wastewater and water treatment plants highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and repair drawings related to equipment.
• Rigging, moving, and setting machinery and equipment on pads.
• Align baseplates and coupling of machinery and motor shafts.
• Adjust and install vibration isolation.
• Layout and setting of templates for equipment baseplates.
• Rigging and setting machinery, pumps, and storage tanks.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, tools and precision instruments.
• Move machinery with hoists and dollies.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble machines and fasten to foundations with hand/power tools.
