Job summary

OxyChem in Ludington, MI is seeking an Industrial Craftsman (IC) role to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain rotating and non-rotating mechanical equipment at the plant site. You will read blueprints, calibrate machinery, and perform maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Successful completion of a formal Millwright program or 5 years experience is required; forklift, manlift, and overhead crane licenses are preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal Millwright Training Program and/or 5 years Industrial Millwright experience.
• Follows Ludington Guiding Principles and works in a self-directed, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, conveyors, cranes, etc. for the site.
• Completes documentation for work as required.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Dismantles and reassembles equipment for repair or transport.
• Aligns and calibrates machinery for safe operation.
• Performs regular lubrication and maintenance.
• Supports training of new employees and ensures safety procedures are followed.
