Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a self-starter who can work safely under high-pressure situations.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
• Must be willing to travel and complete the West Fraser Qualified Millwright training program.
• Must be safety oriented and comply with ZES.
• Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions.
• Must pass the trade qualifications test.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Willing and able to climb stairs, ladders, or work in elevated areas.
• Willing to work in confined areas.
• Must be able to navigate around tablets to perform documentation of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain industrial equipment including conveying systems and major machine centres.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure Just in time maintenance.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Adjust nuts, bolts and clearances using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Align pumps, sheaves, and sprockets with hoists, jacks and hand tools.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
• Lay out mounting holes and drill with power drill.
• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment.
• Level bedplates and establish centerlines with straightedge and transit.
• Dismantle machines with hammers, wrenches and crowbars.
• Attach moving parts to subassemblies with tools.
