Job summary

ICS, Inc (Industrial Contract Services) is seeking an Industrial Machinery Installer in Grand Forks, ND to install and align equipment per layout plans and blueprints. You will dismantle, move, assemble, and rig machinery, construct foundations, and ensure precise alignment using hand tools and power wrenches.

Roles require reading schematics, measuring with precision, and maintaining safety standards. Work schedule varies by project and may involve travel to different sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months experience; technical school certificate preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics; use measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
• Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools and measuring devices.
• Replace defective parts or adjust clearances and alignment.
• Assemble machines using bolts or rivets with hand tools.
• Operate lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys and winches according to load.
• Lay out mounting holes and drill with power drill.
• Attach pulley systems to overhead structures using bolts.
• Rig hoisting equipment and set up safety systems.
• Splice rope and wire cables for slings and tackle.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent.
