Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking personnel for heavy industrial construction tasks across projects. You will read measuring tools, interpret coordinates, and assist in moving, assembling, and aligning machinery and equipment on-site.

Willingness to work overtime and adapt to project needs is required. Requirements include 1–2 years of related experience and basic knowledge of construction processes. Safety-focused role with strong teamwork and adherence to engineered standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools (tape measure, speed square, framing square) to perform tasks accurately.
• Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates.
• Assist in moving machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assist in assembling and installing various equipment and machinery using hand tools and power tools.
• Assist in constructing foundations for machinery using wood, cement, and steel.
• Assist in machinery alignment using feeler gauges, squares, rules, micrometers, plum bobs, dial indicators, laser alignment, etc.
• Assist in grinding, filing, and tuning machine parts to dimensional specs.
• Work with other crafts as directed by supervision and take direction from a higher skilled worker.
• Have basic knowledge of heavy industrial construction processes.
