You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment, using mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on sawmill equipment.
• Cut, weld, and fabricate using steel.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
• Ensure lock-out/tag-out safety procedures are followed.
• Submit work orders and complete maintenance records.

As an Industrial Millwright in Fayette, AL , you’ll play a critical role in keeping our sawmill operating safely and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment that powers our operation. As part of our maintenance team, you’ll use your mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support production. Pay Range: $30.57 – 41.33 per hour based on skill level and experience. $1.85 per hour Night Shift Premium Quarterly Gainshare Bonus (performance based)

What You’ll Do

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
• Assess and repair machinery and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
• Determine shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
• Recognize and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders.

Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

What You Offer

• 2 to 4 years of millwright level experience.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent Preferred.
• Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
